Lifetime labour warranty

Our warranty, in plain English

We warrant our workmanship for as long as you own the property. Here’s exactly what that covers, what sits under a manufacturer’s warranty instead, and how to make a claim.

  • No expiry on our workmanship
  • Labour covered, not just parts
  • Licensed and fully insured

Why we offer it

A warranty is only worth what it costs us

Any plumber can say they do good work. A lifetime labour warranty is the version of that claim that costs us money if it isn’t true — every shortcut becomes a free return visit, so it’s cheaper for us to do it properly the first time.

That’s the whole logic of it. It’s not a marketing line, it’s a constraint we’ve put on ourselves deliberately, and it’s why we’d rather spend twenty minutes finding out why a drain blocked than fifteen minutes clearing it and leaving.

It also changes what we recommend. There’s no incentive for us to install something cheap, because we’re the ones coming back to it.

What’s covered

Our work, with no expiry date

  • Our workmanship, for as long as you own the property

If something we installed fails because of how we installed it — a joint we made, a connection we ran, a fixture we fitted — we come back and put it right at no charge.

  • The labour to fix it

That’s the part people get caught on elsewhere. A product warranty usually replaces the part and leaves you paying someone to fit it. Ours covers the work.

  • Return visits for the same fault

If a repair doesn’t hold, coming back is on us. You shouldn’t be paying twice for one problem.

  • Every job, not just big ones

It applies to a tap washer the same way it applies to a full reline. There’s no minimum job size for standing behind your work.

What it doesn’t cover

The honest limits

A warranty that claimed to cover everything wouldn’t be believable. These are the things that sit outside it — and what we do about them anyway.

  • Product failures — but we handle the claim

If a hot water unit or a tap fails because the manufacturer built it that way, that’s their warranty rather than ours. We’ll process the claim with them for you, because chasing a manufacturer is not what you signed up for.

  • Fair wear and tear

Washers perish, cartridges wear, anodes are sacrificial by design. Parts with a service life reaching the end of it isn’t a workmanship failure.

  • Damage caused by something else

Ground movement, tree roots into a section of pipe we didn’t work on, storm damage, or someone putting a shovel through a line. We’ll fix it, but it’s a new job.

  • Parts you supplied yourself

We’ll happily install tapware you’ve bought. We warrant our labour on it, but we can’t warrant somebody else’s product.

  • Work someone else has altered

If our installation has been modified since, the warranty covers what we did, not what was done to it afterwards.

Making a claim

What to do if something we did fails

One phone call

Call 0406 711 214 and tell us it’s a warranty job. There’s no form, no claim number and no portal.

  1. 1

Call us and say it’s a warranty job

You don’t need paperwork or a receipt number. We keep records of every job, so tell us the address and roughly when we were there.

  2. 2

We book it in like any other job

    A warranty call-out isn’t a lower priority than a paying one. If it’s leaking, it’s urgent.

  3. 3

    We look at it, free

If it’s our workmanship, we fix it at no charge. If it turns out to be a product fault, we take it up with the manufacturer for you.

  4. 4

If it’s genuinely a new job, we tell you first

You’ll get a fixed price before anything starts, and an explanation of why it sits outside the warranty. No surprise invoice.

Alongside the warranty

The rest of what you get, every job

  • Lifetime labour warranty

Every job we do is backed for as long as you own the property.

  • Fully licensed & insured

NSW Licence NSW LICENCE PENDING. Compliance certificates on every job.

  • No call-out fee

We don’t charge to turn up, and we don’t charge to quote.

  • Fixed price up front

You approve the price before we start. It doesn’t move afterwards.

How we quote and what drives a price is set out on our pricing page.

Common questions

About the warranty

It means we stand behind our workmanship for as long as you own the property, with no expiry date. If a joint we made or an installation we did fails because of how we did it, we come back and fix it and there’s no charge for the work. It’s the labour that’s covered — the physical products we install carry their own manufacturer’s warranties, which we process for you if one fails.

There’s no time limit on our workmanship. Statutory warranties under NSW law set a minimum period; ours goes past it deliberately. The practical limit is ownership — it’s a warranty to you as our customer, so if the property is sold we’d need to talk to the new owner about the work rather than it transferring automatically.

Then it’s a manufacturer’s warranty claim, and we handle it. We’ll assess it, confirm it’s a product fault, and deal with the manufacturer on your behalf — the brands we install have processes for this and we use them regularly. What you don’t want is to be the person on the phone to a manufacturer trying to prove a fault.

It helps, but no. We keep a record of every job we do, including what was installed and when, so we can find it from your address. Do keep any compliance certificates we lodge for gas and hot water work though — you’ll need those when you sell the property, quite separately from any warranty question.

It depends on why. If we cleared a line and our work was the reason it failed again, that’s ours to fix. If roots have found a crack elsewhere in an old clay line we didn’t repair, that’s the pipe rather than the workmanship — which is exactly why we run a camera after clearing and tell you honestly whether you’re looking at a repeat problem. If you are, relining the damaged section is the permanent answer, and that carries its own long-term warranty.

Yes — current NSW plumbing and gasfitting licences and full public liability insurance. A warranty from an unlicensed operator is worth nothing, and an uninsured one is a risk you’d be carrying rather than them. Gas and hot water installations are lodged with NSW Fair Trading and you get a copy of the compliance certificate every time.
